This position will include medical device catheter testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and fabrication of catheter prototypes and assembly fixtures of low to moderate complexity.

You are responsible for documentation of processes and experiments(prototypes and product testing). You will be required to evaluate processes for improvements, as well as help to establish engineering specifications and quality standards.

Experience performing tests and summarizing data is a must; making recommendations and implementing/document changes with approval is essential.

You will perform a variety of duties in the mechanical and electromechanical areas of assembly and prototyping, per engineer’s instruction. Focus will be on fabricating prototypes and process tools, and developing and building fixtures with minimal engineering support.

You will be expected to lead in the training of assemblers, line leads and entry level technicians and engineers in procedures and common practices. As well assisting engineering teams in obtaining the necessary supplies and components for given projects

With engineering direction, you will work on multiple project tasks and assignments for timely completion. In addition you will works with external customers (including suppliers and consultants) for supplies, materials and tools for specific projects.

You will serve as the PDM documentation specialist for the R&D group. Your responsibilities will include creation, routing, and release of electronic documents in support of defined projects, creation of BOM's within PDM, and creation/release of component drawings.

You will also be required to construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, component, device, or systems in the R&D Lab.

Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma, AA Degree in Technical field or equivalent job experience.

Minimum Experience: 1-3+ years experience as a technician or equivalent in appropriate education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform at this level.

Skills Required: Proactive knowledge of GMP, QC, component tracking and engineering change notice systems. You must possess excellent fabrication and prototyping ability. Working knowledge of statistics. Able to determine appropriate report formats and complete without assistance. Understands interconversion of units of measurement. Very strong written and oral communication skills or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
