MAC QA Engineer - – Fremont

We are looking for a MAC QA Engineer who has previously worked at Apple. Someone with computer and mice experience is preferred, however not necessary.

We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to test Control Devices product on the Mac OS X platform. We are large tech company based in Fremont, CA.

Responsibilities include:
-Help other team members to become Mac-proficient
-Work with QA Lead to review, develop, and update the test plan and test cases
-Help evaluate and recommend test tools

Ideal candidate will have:
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
- 5-10 years experience in field
- 7+ years testing client-side desktop applications for the Mac (OS X experience required)
- Extensive experience in the use and administration of Mac OS systems
- Strong fundamentals in QA methodology's and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Creative thinking, must have a systematic approach in problem solving and recording, willing to learn new concepts and products quickly
- Experience in testing device drivers and computer peripherals
- Experience with white box /component testing /debugging tools
- Understanding of OS X / UNIX kernel architecture
- Familiar with consumer applications (Photoshop, iWork, etc)
- Experience with Quality Center, scripting and shells, and QA automation tools such as Perl
